To uphold The Olympic Club’s brand as the premier athletic and golf club, I redesigned our new member welcome box. Our goal was to evoke a feeling of luxury, show members they are joining a place rich with tradition, and give them a sense of opening to a world of many possibilities.
The outside of the black box is printed with a spot gloss and emboss to give a luxurious, understated look. Printed on the sides of the box are icons for each of our sports that I designed, to show the breadth of the sports the club supports. Once you open the box, there’s a personalized letter from our GM/COO welcoming the member, and an iconic historic photo on the top of the reveal flap. Once the reveal flap is lifted, it reveals a collage that spans our 160+ year history and our numerous sports and has a QR code that takes the member to links to learn more about the club. Our gifts to the members are contained in the box – a set of etched wooden coasters and two offers at our retail stores.
